LIBERALS usually embrace freedom of choice in personal
matters, but tend to support significant government control of the
economy. They generally support a government-funded "safety net"
to help the disadvantaged, and advocate strict regulation
of business. Liberals tend to favor environmental regulations,
defend civil liberties and free expression, support government action
to promote equality, and tolerate diverse lifestyles.
Okay, I can accept that, but I'd qualify the last statement a bit, limiting the government's role to repairing only blatantly unjust situations such as racial segregation. The Civil Rights Movement may have opened some doors to government control I don't care for, but it was necessary to free my darker-skinned fellow citizens from terrible oppression. Ooh, it's tempting to go into the subject more, but this is a blog about perverse sex after all! The whole LGBT thing will have to have to wait for another post.
